Privacy Policy

Effective September 8, 2026

The short version: we don't sell your data, to anyone, ever. Below is the full detail on what we collect, why, and who we share it with to actually run this business (payments, hosting, email).

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly:

  • Name, email address, and phone number, when you check availability, request a discount code, or submit a booking inquiry
  • Check-in/check-out dates and guest count, when you book
  • Payment information — this goes directly to Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number on our own servers

We also collect limited technical data automatically: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited), and, if you arrived via a Facebook or Instagram ad, advertising measurement data through the Meta Pixel (see "Cookies & tracking" below).

How we use your information

  • To process and manage your reservation
  • To send you a requested discount code and related booking communications
  • To respond to questions you send us
  • To measure whether our advertising is working, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested in this property

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone for their own marketing purposes. Full stop.

Third parties we work with

Running this site means a few outside services process data on our behalf, under their own privacy policies:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — website hosting and data storage
  • Cloudflare — DNS and email delivery
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement, only if you arrive via one of our ads

These providers act as our processors, not independent buyers of your data — we don't hand information to them so they can market to you on their own behalf.

Cookies & tracking

We use minimal cookies/local storage needed to run the booking calendar. If you arrive via a Facebook or Instagram ad, the Meta Pixel may be active on the page to measure ad performance and help us avoid showing you ads you've already responded to. You can control ad tracking through your Facebook account's ad settings or your browser's privacy settings.

Data retention

We keep booking and inquiry information as long as needed to fulfill reservations, respond to guests, and meet basic bookkeeping requirements, and delete or anonymize it when it's no longer needed for those purposes.

Your choices

Every promotional email includes a way to stop receiving them. To ask us to delete your information or answer any other privacy question, email support@mongouvacation.com.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
